Main Functions:

NF-488 POE Cable Tester is consists of two parts: Emitter & Remote identifier. It has functions such as standard and non-standard POE equipment detection, POE power online test, network cable continuity test, DC power test, switch loop-back test and etc. Therefore, it is a practical tool for installation and maintenance of technical personal in security monitoring, communication wires, integrated wiring and other weak current systems.

· Test the information of the standard PoE device, such as af\at standard, power supply voltage, power supply polarity and mode. Quickly check power sourcing equipment (PSE) type, the IEEE802.3af or 802.3at standard.

· Identify the supply voltage, power supply polarity and mode of non-standard PoE devices. Inline test info of standard/non-standard PoE devices, including power supply voltage, power supply polarity, crossover mode, and more.

· Check the short circuit, crossover and open circuit status in the network cable. Test the short circuit, crossover and open circuit status for STP, UTP lan cable.

· Test the current, voltage and power consumed by DC appliances.

·The loop-back test function of the switch. Test the loop circuit connected to switch is normal or not.

· Lamp.A lamp is equipped in main unit, helps work in darkness.

Q1: How long is your delivery time?

Q2: How to connected when measuring power of NF-488?

A2: The power supply is connected to the DC IN interface, and the power receiving device is connected to the DC OUT interface. Never connect it reversely.

Q3: What does the NF-488 loopback test measure?

A3: It used to detect whether the 1236 pins of the network cable is normal. This function only supports working on switches below 100M (including).

Q4: How does the NF-488 loopback test work?
A4: One end of the cable is connected to the master loopback, and the other end is connected to the POE switch. Then check whether the LED of the POE switch is on.

Q5: Both of PoE test port of NF-488, what is the difference between the two ports?
A5: Both ports support to measure POE voltage & standardar, there is no any difference.
