For low-resistance faults and high-resistance faults with open-phase faults, the fault phase test waveform is inconsistent with the full length of the cable under test, so low-voltage pulses can be used to directly measure the fault distance. 5) When the cable fault tester uses the high-voltage flashover test, the high-voltage flash method can be used to test whether the cable fault is a high-resistance fault or a low-resistance fault.
For low-resistance or disconnection faults that can be directly tested by low-voltage pulses, it is generally necessary to use high-voltage flashover to verify the test and accurately locate the fault point. ?6) Complete the high-voltage flashover test, determine the fault distance, and accurately locate the fault. When used, fault location and path detection can be performed simultaneously.
