When discharging, a current limiting resistor R should be added to limit the discharge current to discharge the current slowly. After the voltage on the capacitor is reduced, the resistance in the discharge circuit to the ground is zero, and the instantaneous discharge current can be as high as several hundred amperes, which will cause serious damage. equipment or personal accident. 5. During the test of the direct flash method, attention must be paid to monitoring the leakage current of the fault. If the current suddenly increases and the fault flashover does not appear, the test voltage should be lowered immediately and the flash-over method should be used instead. The smooth operation of the cable fault test system and the transmission of power depend on the normal operation of the cable line.
Once there is an obstacle in the line, it will cause interruption of communication and power. If the fault cannot be detected in time and eliminated quickly, it will cause great economic loss and adverse social impact. Therefore, maintenance personnel should pay attention to ensure the normal operation of the cable fault tester during the work process.
