However, when using a professional cable fault locator for on-site location, sometimes there are some special faults that cannot be found.
For example, the creepage flashover fault of the insulation surface of the terminal head and the intermediate head of the medium voltage cross-linked power cable, the accurate determination of the metal short-circuit fault, etc., often use a professional cable fault locator to be powerless or powerless. For common cable faults, use a commercially available cable fault locator to locate the fault point, usually in minutes or hours. However, when a particular fault occurs and the detection is not smooth, it may be necessary to invoke multiple cable fault detectors with different functions to repeat the test and confirm rotation detection and alignment.
These types of fault instruments mainly include various cable fault detectors designed and manufactured according to the bridge method and wave method principles, so localization may take days or even longer, so when you are lucky, you can be sure. At the point of failure, when bad luck occurs, the location of the point of failure remains undetermined.
