The signal generator mainly generates a special pulse modulation signal, which is added to the cable under test that has stopped running through the output line, and the receiving clamp is used to find the cable under test in the field. When the receiving clamp detector detects the special signal applied to the cable, the signal The pointer of the power meter on the detector swings synchronously with the frequency of the applied signal, while the signals detected on other cables are much smaller and in the opposite direction. By indicating the amplitude and direction of the power meter, the cable identification instrument can easily identify the cable under test. When the receiving clamp signal detector is used in combination with the signal generator, it can be used for judging the live state of the cable, or assisting in finding the short-circuit position of the cable. When the receiver clamp signal detector is used, the main cable fault detector of the signal generator should clamp the cable with the clamp jaw.
