The working principle of the cable identification instrument It is necessary to add a special signal to the identified cable, and the signal must be received by a special receiver, and the cable to be found can be identified by using this feature. The cable identification instrument works according to the following principles: The cable identification instrument is composed of three parts: a signal generator, a receiving clamp signal detector and an indicator meter. The signal generator mainly generates a special pulse modulation signal, which is added to the stopped tested signal through the output line. On the cable, use the receiving clamp to find the tested cable on site. When the receiving clamp detector detects the special signal applied to the cable, the meter pointer on the signal detector swings synchronously with the frequency of the applied signal, while the signals detected on other cables It is much smaller and the direction is opposite. By indicating the amplitude and direction of the power meter, it is easy to determine the cable under test. When the receiving clamp signal detector is used in combination with the signal generator, it can be used for judging the live state of the cable, or assisting in finding the short-circuit position of the cable.
When the receiver clamp signal detector is used, the cable should be clamped by the clamp jaw.
